About this recipe
A one-page portfolio for photographers, designed for phones first with an editorial look. It opens with a scrolling hero, then shows your shoots as a row of large prints you move through sideways. Each print can play a short silent film. Tap a shoot and it opens full screen at its own link, over a backdrop tinted to match each photo. The site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no build step, so it runs on any static host.
The hero is the centrepiece. You film yourself for about five seconds on a tripod, ending with your camera raised to the lens. A bundled tool turns that clip into a frame-by-frame portrait that plays as visitors scroll. It cuts you out of the background, upscales each frame, and keeps your real floor shadow. Your cut-out is then placed in a clean studio scene that the site draws itself, so the room you filmed in doesn’t matter. When the scroll reaches the last frame, your camera fires a flash and the screen turns white into the gallery.
Before processing starts, the tool measures your computer and tells you how long the job will take: about 50 minutes for a quick version, or a few hours for the sharpest one. It runs in the background and picks up where it left off if it’s stopped. Adding new shoots is just as simple: put the photos in a folder and list them in one file. There’s no admin panel to manage.
