FAQ
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You tell your agent what you want in plain words. Eggie handles running the project.
Do I need Docker Desktop?
No. Eggie brings everything it needs inside the kitchen. If you already have Docker Desktop, it keeps working as before.
Which coding agents work with Eggie?
Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.
How much does it cost?
Where are my project files?
Inside the kitchen, in the projects folder. Your agent sees them there. On Windows you can also open them in File Explorer:
\\wsl.localhost\eggie-vm\opt\eggie\projects
Can other people see my projects?
On your computer, no. Project addresses only work there. To show one, share a public link.
In a cloud kitchen, yes. Every project is online, so anyone with its address can open it.
Does it work without internet?
No. Project addresses (*.local.eggie.space) need internet to open, and your coding agent works online too.
What happens when I close the window?
Eggie keeps running in the tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac), and so do your projects. To stop everything, choose Quit Eggie from the tray icon, or press Cmd+Q on a Mac.
Does Eggie slow down my computer?
The kitchen uses memory and processor while it runs. If you don’t need it, click Stop the kitchen on the home screen.
Can I run any project?
Most web projects, yes. If a project isn’t ready to run in Eggie, your agent sets it up once. See Add an existing project.
Can I put my project online for good?
Yes, with a cloud kitchen. Every project there has its own address that stays online. On your computer, a public link lasts a few hours.
